The United Arab Emirates (UAE) hosted the Al-Badah International Rapid Chess Tournament, with 107 chess players from 19 countries. Grandmaster Gabriel Sargsyan scored 6.5 points out of 7 and became the sole winner of the tournament. GM Gadir Guseynov from Azerbaijan took the 2nd place with 6 points, while Egyptian international Taar Fur Fu took the top three.
